1.0 ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS

JOB PURPOSE

To design, develop and deliver a range of programmes at Certificate, Diploma and Degree level for teaching at The Management University of Africa in order to enable students to complete their studies successfully and to determine, develop and carry out relevant independent research projects to extend knowledge in appropriate subject area.

 

Applicants must be holders of a PhD Degree in business related field with specialization in any of the following disciplines;-

Project Management, Development Studies, Economics, Environmental Management, Strategic Management, Business Management, Leadership.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

2.0 SENIOR LECTURERS

JOB PURPOSE

To design, develop and deliver a range of programmes at Certificate, Diploma and Degree level for teaching at Management University of Africa, in order to enable students to complete their studies successfully and to determine, develop and carry out relevant independent research projects to extend knowledge in appropriate subject area.

Must have a PhD in Leadership, Development studies and Gender and Development with specialization in any of the disciplines listed below:

Leadership, Development studies, gender and development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Must have a Ph.D. degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field from accredited and recognized University.

Must demonstrate exemplary research, teaching and academic /relevant industrial experience in the relevant field;

Must have taught in a University at the lecturer level or engaged as a researcher in a recognized research organization for three (3) years.

Must have a minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.

Must have supervised three (3) post graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent.

Must have been an academic leader in a University for a minimum of two (2) years 

 

3.0 LECTURERS/ RESEARCH FELLOWS

JOB PURPOSE

 To teach, conduct tutorials, perform examination related functions, determine, develop and carry out relevant independent research projects to extend knowledge in the appropriate subject area and participate in University committees, boards and any other assigned duties at The Management University of Africa.

Must have a PhD in Leadership, Development studies and Gender and Development with specialization in any of the disciplines listed below:

Leadership, Development studies, gender and development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Must have a Ph.D. degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field.

Must demonstrate exemplary research, teaching and academic /relevant industrial experience in the relevant field;

Must have taught in a University at the lecturer level or engaged as a researcher in a recognized research organization;

Minimum of twenty four (24) publication points, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed journal papers

Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable)

OR at least one refereed book in his/her professional area published by recognized publishers, plus two articles;

4.0 REGISTRAR,ACADEMIC AND STUDENT AFFAIRS

JOB PURPOSE

To provide leadership in planning, organising and managing all of the activities related to the Admission and Examination Departments, including serving as the official authorized keeper of all University records.

  • Participate in the Management of MUA as a member of the Deans’ Committee,

University Senate and other committees of the university as specified in the University Statute

  • Oversee the preparation of agenda, documents and minutes for University Senate and Dean’s committee meetings.

5. MANAGEMENT
