Dr. John Cheluget holds a PhD in Business Administration, Finance Specialization from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Master of Business Administration, Finance option Degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN) and a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting option degree University of Nairobi (UoN). He is a qualified certified public accountant (CPA-K). Dr. John Cheluget is a Senior Lecturer at The Management University of Africa (MUA) and the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) of The Management University of Africa (MUA).

DR. NICHOLAS LETTING, PhD, HSC, formerly theVice – Chancellor of the Management University of Africa (MUA) and Assistant Honorary Secretary – Association of

Professional Societies of East Africa (APSEA), holds a PhD, MBA and Bcom degrees from the University of Nairobi and Certified Public Accountant (CPA),

Certified Secretary (CS) and Certified Investments and Financial Analyst (CIFA) Final Certificates from KASNEB.


A respected academician - practitioner, committed professional, passionate facilitator in conferences, corporate governance expert,

astute administrator, investments and finance analyst and transformative leader with over 20 years of work experience. He started his career with BAT

Kenya where he worked for over 8 years in Leaf Operations, Finance, Human Resources and Administration. He later served for 5 years with Kenya Institute of

Management (KIM) as deputy Executive Director/CEO in charge of Company of the Year Awards (COYA), training, consultancy, membership, SME and Media services.

He has been serving as Senior Lecturer at MUA since 2011 and for 5 years as Vice – Chancellor heading finance, academic and administrative functions of the institution.

He has successfully supervised six (6) PhD and thirty-five (35) Masters Students and published widely in internationally refereed journals. He is an

External Examiner in three Universities. In addition, he has consulted with international organisations including the UNDP. He has presented papers in

conferences in the US, the UK, Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, Rwanda, India and Thailand.


He has been a Council Member and Chairman of ICPSK now Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS). He is Chairman, Board of Management of Karura Adventist School.

He has served as Council Member and Chairman of Finance, Strategy and General Purposes Committee at KIE, now

Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and is currently a member of National Commission for Science Technology

and Innovations (NACOSTI). He is a Fellow of ICPAK and ICS and Full Member of KIM, IoD, ICIFA and IHRM.

Prof. Kalyan K. Sahoo

Prof.Kalyan K. Sahoo is a Professor, Advisor at the MUA. He is also an advisor (Curriculum Design, Academic Planning) to M.C. University and CK Foundation. After completion of MBA, he worked in various companies like HCL, Canon, UniTek for 6years. He successfully earned his PhD in Management from the Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur and spent 17years teaching and administering as a Professor, Dean, VP (Academics).

In 2003, he shifted his career path from corporate to university and moved to various parts of India, Africa, where he taught Strategic Management, Marketing, SDM, Advanced Strategic Management in various reputed universities and Business Schools Like SOA University (Odisha), Centurion University of Technology and Management (Odisha), BIMHRD (Pune), Kings Business School (Ghana), African University College of Communication (Ghana).

He also earned Gold medal in Master in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) from Utkal University of Culture, Odisha. He is a member of CII (India), FICCI (India), AIMA, Ghana Journalism Association, CRD-Lome and many more. He is also a member of Strategic Planning Committee at PUC, Ghana.

His current research, teaching interests include Business strategy, Media & Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Social Media, IR and Competitive advantage. He published three books on “Impact of T&D strategy on Organizational Performance”, “Casebook on Marketing”, and “Introduction to Journalism”. He has also published several research papers in refereed national, international journals and presented papers in local, regional and international conferences.
