 Dr. Washington Okeyo is a PhD degree holder in Business Administration (Entrepreneurship) and is the Vice-Chancellor/CEO of the Management University of Africa (MUA). He is the principal academic and executive officer of the University responsible for the development of academic programmes of the university. He oversees and monitors the administration of the academic programmes and general administration of the University to ensure efficiency and good order of the University. He is a current member of the University’s Governing Council, and Chairperson of the University Senate as well as Chairman of The University Management Board (UMB).

He is formerly the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research) at Management University of Africa. He has also taught at University of Nairobi among others. He has written and published widely in Management and Leadership. He is also the patron of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Management and Leadership Studies. He has taught, done research and published in many peer reviewed journals including European Scientific Journal, Advances in Social Sciences Research Journal, International Journal of Business and Social Research, and others and authored books in business, management and development studies.

Dr. Okeyo also worked in the corporate world as General Manager at Kenya Breweries Limited and Managing Director at Southlink Consultants Limited and Project Manager at UNESCO. He was the lead consultant in several projects for UNDP, UNICEF, Oxfam, CHF International, and USAID among others. Dr. Okeyo led research and organizational development projects in several corners of the globe, including serving as the research programme manager for an Africa-wide UNESCO funded research project. He has had study and academic tours in many countries in Africa, Europe, and USA.

He also served in the boards of and is a current full member of Muthaiga Golf Club, Parklands Sports Club, and Nyanza Club. He attended several international conferences and leadership forums including the Leadership and Management Summit, and UNCTAD 14 World Investment Forum both held in Nairobi in 2014. He is a current Full Member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and has assessed performance of many CEOs and a wide cross-section of multi-sectoral businesses and organizations in Kenya under the KIM’s Organizational Performance Index (OPI) and Company of the Year (COYA) initiatives.

 Dr. John Cheluget holds a PhD in Business Administration, Finance Specialization from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Master of Business Administration, Finance option Degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN) and a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting option degree University of Nairobi (UoN). He is a qualified certified public accountant (CPA-K). Dr. John Cheluget is a Senior Lecturer at The Management University of Africa (MUA) and the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) of The Management University of Africa (MUA).





Prof. Kalyan 


Prof.Kalyan K. Sahoo is a Professor, Advisor at the MUA. He is also an advisor (Curriculum Design, Academic Planning) to M.C. University and CK Foundation. After completion of MBA, he worked in various companies like HCL, Canon, UniTek for 6years. He successfully earned his PhD in Management from the Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur and spent 17years teaching and administering as a Professor, Dean, VP (Academics).

In 2003, he shifted his career path from corporate to university and moved to various parts of India, Africa, where he taught Strategic Management, Marketing, SDM, Advanced Strategic Management in various reputed universities and Business Schools Like SOA University (Odisha), Centurion University of Technology and Management (Odisha), BIMHRD (Pune), Kings Business School (Ghana), African University College of Communication (Ghana).

He also earned Gold medal in Master in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) from Utkal University of Culture, Odisha. He is a member of CII (India), FICCI (India), AIMA, Ghana Journalism Association, CRD-Lome and many more. He is also a member of Strategic Planning Committee at PUC, Ghana.

His current research, teaching interests include Business strategy, Media & Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Social Media, IR and Competitive advantage. He published three books on “Impact of T&D strategy on Organizational Performance”, “Casebook on Marketing”, and “Introduction to Journalism”. He has also published several research papers in refereed national, international journals and presented papers in local, regional and international conferences.
