Diploma in Community Health and Development

Rationale

The need to develop sustainable communities is increasingly important all over the world. To make sustainable development possible, people and organizations within communities must understand and appreciate the factors that influence their own lives and the lives of people around them. The Management University of Africa recognizes the need for skilled individuals within communities and therefore provides opportunity of training in Diploma in Community Health and Development (DCHD). The course is designed not only to provide the student with skills and knowledge but also prepare students for a career in community health and development.

Study mode: Full-time, Evening, Distance Learning

Intakes: January, May, September, Continuous

Duration: 1 year 4 months

Assessment modes:

The course targets health personnel who would like to acquire more knowledge amongst others interested in community health. Graduates from the programmme could be absorbed by health-based NGOs, research institutions, health facilities and government ministries among others.
