Rationale
The MUA – Diploma in Entrepreneurship (DES) programme seek to develop competent, well trained and morally upright managers, leaders and entrepreneurs who will innovatively and creatively start enterprises or serve in existing organizations in public as well as in the private sector to maximize their returns and thus help in achieving global, regional as well as national goals. The programme takes cognizance of the issues related to business start-ups, growth and sustainability, and their importance in developing countries and poor regions of the world while considering the numerous economic, environmental, social and political challenges facing these countries in the current world scenario. In the current knowledge based economies, there are very few institutions of higher learning offering such programmes as Diploma in Entrepreneurship in Africa. MUA therefore stands a very strategic position to offer this programme and fill the available gap.
