Management University of Africa kicked off its second semester Sports Day on July 5, 2024
The day started off on a chilly note but that did not stop the enthusiastic participants from unleashing the champion within.
The event started with warm-up events at 10 am before the high gear sessions. Students and staff from Kisaju and South C campuses participated in the various games including basketball, football and badminton.
First off was an engaging football march, MUA staff versus the students from the two campuses. After a heated game, surprisingly, the staff emerged the winners. Last semester it was the students who carried the day!
In basketball, the students outdid the staff with 89 to 54 baskets. In the indoor games, students and staff engaged in a hot table tennis game with students winning.
The climax of the day was the award ceremony which was officiated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Washington Okeyo and the DVC Dr. John Cheluget who awarded trophies to the winners. Isaac Simi was declared the Best Sportsman. Indeed, MUA we are not just big on academics, but also out-of-the-class activities.
These sports and games are coordinated through Dean of students’ office through Assistant Coordinator co-curricular activities and students’ body through MUASA Sports Secretary.
